Shielding for Triaxis Current Sensors
This application note provides background information about material and design of a shield for the contact-less Triaxis current sensor MLX91205/CSA-1V. The sensor uses the magnetic field generated by a current flowing through a conductor to measure the current. The range, which can be measured with the Triaxis current sensor, is strongly dependent on the conductor geometries, shield properties and dimensions, and the adjustment in reference to each other of conductor, shield and sensor.
