  Kit for MLX90807
Q:
I want to know that the type of the Evaluation Kit for MLX90807,PTC-03 or PTC-04? and another special kit?

A:
See http://www.melexis.com/Sensor_ICs_Pressure/Sensor_ICs_Pressure/Relative_Integrated_Pressure_Sensor_669.aspx

Q:
For 90807/90808, the agent here recommends us to use PTC03 to do programming, but what is the supporting documentation? it is not clear. Also is PTC-04 an updated version of PTC-03?

A:
We advice you to use the evb90807 for the calibration. This evb is much more user friendly and designed to calibrate the 90807 devices. We have a lot of documentation available for programming with the Evaluation Board. remark: The ptc-04 is like you mentioned, an updated version of the ptc-03.

Q:
Is the evb90807 universal for programming 90807 and 90808? If not what are the difference needed else to program 90808 using evb90807? I have already got a PTC03 kit and want to start work as early as possible since it takes a few weeks to get evb90807 after purchase order, pls send me a full documentation package instructing using PTC03 for programming 90808.

A:
The only difference between the 90807 and 90808 is the relative or absolute pressure sensor. 90807 is a relative sensor by which you can connect 2 different pressures. The 90808 is an absolute one. Only 1 pressure can be applied. The small accuracy bug is solved and we have good results with the latest revision. For the latest status concerning the stock of the evb`s, please contact our sales department.

Measure pressure between 0 and 400KPa
Q:
Does Melexis have a pressure sensor to measure 0 to 400 KPa?

A:
Melexis has different kinds of pressure sensors available. We have sensors up to 3000 KPa (30 bar). You can check the datasheet on the website (the mlx90807 and the mlx90808)

Measuring up to 300 psi or 2068kPa
Q:
Does Melexis has a sensor that measures up to 300psi or 2068kPa?

A:
We have an integrated pressure sensor up to 30 bar.

  MLX90269
Q:
we are in need of pressure sensor IC in the range of 0.5 to 4.9 Bar.Can we get MLX90269 in such a range?

Q:
Yes.

  MLX90269 boost gauge
Q:
I am currently in the process of trying to design a digital boost gauge for a Car. I have been looking for a sensor that would be appropriate for this project and came across the MLX90269. Some parameters are that it has to show a digital reading of vacuum and boost(up to atleast 20psi). I have some basic knowledge but any help or push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

A:
Indeed regarding the pressure range that you want to cover the MLX90269 can be selected but this chip has an analog output so you will need for instance to use an ADC of your micro controller to get the desired digital information.

  MLX90603
Q:
I found on your site a page that describe the MLX90603 TPMS sensor. I am very interested about it but I can not find other information. Is MLX90603 on production? Is it possible to have the data sheet and other application notes regarding it? I can not find also information regarding the microprocessor included in it. What kind of microprocessor is the MLX16? Which are the tools I need to develop software for it?

A:
the MLX16 is a 16bit RISC core developed by Melexis. It is dedicated for interfacing with analog periphery, rather than for pure processing power. It is in production since many years with most of our programmable devices. The MLX90603 is considered as an advanced product for which the datasheet is not published on the internet. I will contact you off line to discuss your project.

Q:
I found informations about MLX90603. Today in my development i use the chip SP12T (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor )of Infineon, but the chip is obsolet, then i found one chip similar e need think if MLX90603 can make this. For this I need the Datasheet of the chip. How can I obtain the data sheet?

A:
Dear Fabrício, The MLX90603 can replace the SP12. Minimum volumes are required to justify the ROM code developments. Please contact your local Sales representative to pursue this further. Sales contacts can be found at www.melexis.com/contacts.aspx

  MPX5999D-Cross
Q:
Can someone help to find cross for MPX5999D(Freescale) from Melexis.

A:
We do not offer a pin-to-pin compatible alternative for this part. You can have a look at the datasheets of MLX90257 (relative pressure) and MLX90269 (absolute pressure): see: http://www.melexis.com/ProdMain.aspx?nID=88 http://www.melexis.com/ProdMain.aspx?nID=90

  Programming tools for the MLX90603
Q:
What is the Programmingtool for the MLX90603?

A:
The programming tools are the MLX16 emulator and PC software. The MLX16 is a dedicated CPU core from Melexis.
